This camp is a 1 Day FREE S.T.E.M. Camp for 100 3rd - 5th grade students. The morning session will be held at Sequoyah Middle School in Auburn from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. At Sequoyah, campers will learn about S.T.E.M. in a classroom setting. There will be 3 different classrooms (VR/AR - room, Game Design - room, and a Drone Room, ) The afternoon session will be at Wild Waves from 12:30 pm - 5:00 pm. Campers and volunteers will be served lunch, learn more about S.T.E.M. through VR and AR activities at the same time!
At this event all 100 students will be able to experience engineering through flying drones, technology through virtual reality, and science through coding and building games.
In order to get this S.T.E.M camp filled with fun activities, we have partnered with three organizations that will be providing one part of this STEM based education experience. Each partner brings their own dynamic components to the MBA STEM Camp:
Key Tech Labs teaches computer science, by teaching kids how to code games.
BlackFox Studios provides technology experience through the VR/AR.
Tuskegee Airmen provide engineering by teaching how drones fly.
After all of the kids’ minds have been enriched, we will wrap up the camp at Wild Waves park as a celebration and test of their new S.T.E.M. knowledge!
